lyrics
Summer Ignite
Reach out, shout and growl, it’s a new day
Go outside and witness, try to remain safe
Work, report, tighten the noose and temper the hate
Sit alone, ceiling stares, wipe the blood from your face
I’m afraid nothing will be the same again
There are limits of what we see when we look within
We belong to a time of fire and turmoil
Heard they’re uncovering parallel portals
Maybe we should go
Sunrise, now sore, we slept too late
Reach for the screen, sigh and contemplate
Pacing around, writing words with hollow weight
Stress gains heft and there’s still blood on your face
I’m afraid nothing will be the same again
There are limits of what we see when we look within
We belong to a time of fire and turmoil
Heard they’re uncovering parallel portals
So, maybe we should go
Back to nature, reassess, it’s the only way
Glue your pieces, shield and meditate
Crowds surround, project, no time to hibernate
Pulsing minds, regroup, nearing the future fate
